The last time we went to the British Virgin Islands, we took a puddle jumper from San Juan to Beef Island (Tortola). While it was an exciting ride with amazing views (I got to sit in the co-pilot’s seat!), we’re trying something different this time. Stay tuned and I’ll let you know how the new method of getting to Tortola works out for us.

If I have any sort of internet connection on Saturday when we arrive, I’ll tell you how we got to Tortola! Hope to see you back here soon!
I love the use of vivid colors in the Caribbean culture. And it is very evident at Cane Garden Bay, one of my favorite places on earth. There, you will find great restaurants, great music, and spectacular sunsets. The colorful buildings in the photos below are Rhymers Beach Restaurant & Hotel, Quito’s Gazebo, Stanley’s Welcome Bar, the Big Banana and Myetts Garden & Grill. With all that vibrant color and so many choices for food and beverage, can you tell me what’s not to love about Cane Garden Bay? To top it off, this is a great spot for watching a spectacular sunset.
We’ll be heading that way one week from today, and I can’t wait to step foot on that sugar white sand after a day of sailing the turquoise waters of the British Virgin Islands.
